DG at Pompeii?!!!!! "Of course the tickets are not on sale yet, nor has a date been set, but it is much more than a rumor that circulates. David Gilmour, the famous Pink Floyd guitarist and voice will return in the summer, probably playing in Pompeii, just where in 1971, along with Pink Floyd, recorded a concert now entered the history of music.
Negotiations are underway to try to define the organizational details of the big concert event that should take place at the Teatro Grande, inside the excavations, so at least suggests a short story published in previous days in Il Mattino.
Great expectations, then this could be the event of the year. The artist, however, has already set two dates in July at the Arena di Verona, where he will present his latest work "Rattle That Lock"."

See you on Kuest(i)enfloyd Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air and deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves the echo of a distant time comes willowing across the sand and everything is green and submarine

@Kuestenfloyd
Das geht vor. Damit begann bei mir alles was Floyd angeht. See you on Kuest(i)enfloyd Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air and deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves the echo of a distant time comes willowing across the sand and everything is green and submarine

"It is still not clear whether Elton John will perform in what is called the Large Theatre, which holds about 1,400, or in the amphitheatre made famous by Pink Floyd in their 1972 film "Live at Pompeii", spokeswomen for the archaeological site and the promoter both said.
The Large Theatre, where Pompeii's citizens once watched comedies and tragedies, has held ballet and classical music performances for the past two years.
The Amphitheatre, where gladiators once fought, pre-dates the larger and better-known Colosseum in Rome by more than a century. The stone stadium can probably hold no more 2,000, one Pompeii spokeswoman said."
