The tour dates page is a platform for fans to use as a guide and speculate upon. The platform is based on a combination of information from our sources, and the On an Island Tour history. Our information comes from our five writers sources, and friendships made over the past 40+ years. More information about our writers can be reviewed on this page below in our about section. The platform has multiple scenarios of locations and Our Selection of the location we believe will be chosen. We are confident these locations are a strong indication of the itinerary of the actual tour, but they are not official dates unless noted and should only be considered speculation. Our Selection was chosen by voting between our five writers and then broken down into a percentage providing our choice. This percentage is given as a indication in our chart of how much in agreement the writers were in when voting. The writers will review the most current information on a monthly basis and update the platform after a new vote, keeping the platform up to date.
The tour dates platform is a tool for fans to speculate and review, but is not official. Example one - Site visitor "Peter" lives in New Jersey and wishes to see David when he tours. "Peter" would see on the tour dates platform that our information provides the closest show scenario available to him is Radio City, New York in the fall. This would give "Peter" the idea he might have to travel to New York to see David sometime in fall 2015. When dates are confirmed we will note them as such but until then they are strictly a platform to speculate on. Example two: There is speculation from outlets there will be another "Live at Gdansk" type event at the end of the new David
We have received information that Brazil, Romania, Poland, and Norway are potential locations for a outdoor event. However a large outdoor event to conclude the tour has the lowest potential rating on our entire platform and has been noted as such. Keeping track?: To this point since official tour dates have been announced only Croatia was not a selection on our list.
The dates themselves have the highest rate of being incorrect because if we are wrong by only one month the entire platform will be off. When we vote the country and location is our top priority with the month being a educated guess based off the most recent information we have. Fans should use caution and common sense before over reacting and instead try promoting a calm, and positive atmosphere. We have had a large amount of positive feedback about the tour dates platform, however if we decide it is causing more harm then good we will remove the page until dates are official. We want to provide fans a useful tool and only ask in return to please be responsible and us with tour date platform questions before jumping to conclusions.
